(k)ART pulse

:scream: That’s nightmare fuel!

I’m gonna ask AI to generate a race track in the style of Hr Geiger. Laps to survive and not get consumed by xenomorphic hazards.

So far not much luck but here’s a couple fun ones

That’s a functional piece of art!

I don’t think Dall-E will allow you to make penises, so I’m not sure it can capture the full breadth of Giger’s aesthetic.

When you just wanna throw buzzwords at it like AI and Bio-whatever I’m out. Also seems like he is more worried about you knowing his 3 different company titles than introducing the car.

Godspeed to whoever test pilots that thing. FEA is a black art and requires a lot of correlations. Loads hardly behave how you expect them to. In CAD everything is idealized, from manufacturing tolerances to constraints.

I’m sure they threw a hefty safety margin at it, but I’d wager they are gonna break a lot of suspension components when the AI said there wasn’t gonna be a load through some spindly section.

I’d be more interested in where all these super/hypercar startups get their money from. Seems like every 3 months someone pops up that is gonna change the game.

Old man yelling at the sky rant over.

Looks we’re making a turn towards cyborg cars :joy: at least there’s a bit of science behind all those sci Fi movies

They don’t let you do anything… “Rebel Scum” and anything even remotely warlike/confrontational is no go.

Like you can’t say “please make an image of two puppies playfully wrestling over a stick.”

“I’m sorry Dave, but I can’t do that.”

I think he is mostly trying to get large companies to hire him for engineering services. The car is just a demonstration of services he can offer. At least that is what I remember. I think he has been around a little while

I don’t think it is that bad, but you definitely need to be careful. Crap in / crap out. Even on relatively simple electrical simulations I find myself realizing I ignored or incorrectly setup an initial condition that results in bad results. Often need to make simulation matches something real(hardware) and then start making changes to simulation to predict how changes will affect hardware. Then test.

It’s not a kart, but it is gorgeous. The gentleman imports them from Spain and then breathes new life into them. He says they are slow, 45mph top speed, but that jibes with their purpose.

So I ran across this… and clearly the approach he took sort of set himself up for problems…

However, it got me to thinking.

What if you had a nice property and instead of designing a track, designed a nature walk, paved or unpaved for that matter, that wound past your carefully planted flowerbeds in a meandering fashion, built wide enough to accommodate groups of senior citizens on mobility scooters (which you had available for these groups in a convenient permanent facility on said property?

So basically a Nurburgring type layout, for electric vehicles, but not exactly a track by design, though it would be for all practical purposes. And in addition to the mobility scooters you had an electric kart or two to race with your kids?

Who would win in a race, the seniors on the rascals or the rascals in the karts?

Also, is this art?

Well the track could be artistic like Barber. Not rally worthy if it’s own thread, but an art related ponder.

Also here is some art for you

While we at it…

Bathed recently and a masterpiece worthy of the Louvre.

I got to see some of their stuff a meet a few of their engineers. Really cool stuff, more of a display of technology than anything

@Stamatis125 a covered bridge for ya… sort of an American thing. Not sure why but some states have these. Maybe to make the horses happy back in the day.
