Today we have reached Dalles !! A handful of people are gathering strength so they can push forward to the last stretch till Oregon .
I am so sad inside coz we learned that our beloved little Annie had died
, just before her 5 year’s old birthday.
It was our friend and we met her early on our trip . Every time we catch up with her familys wagon she was our spirit and our joy . I will never forget her .
The blue mountain territory is beautiful, from what we learn we are lucky that winter is not coming for at least a month o so , so we can make it to oregon before cold hit us .
We have also learned that meat is better food that fish and fish better that plain flour .
Meat also raise our morale not only fills our belly .
Wagon seems alright,.everyone is in great health and i am starting to think that maybe i will not settle for a steady home , if we make it to Oregon .
I can hear great stories of new adventures that will take place on America soil
Dear Stamatis,
We are saddened to hear of the loss of Little Annie. We grieve for her and those that held her dear in their hearts. This journey west you have undertaken has come at a high price, and we worry about you every day.
But, we also take great comfort in hearing from you, and are overjoyed that you will make it to Oregon before the winter begins. We are also grateful to hear that your travels and experiences have brought you wisdom and new understandings, and that your wagons and oxen are strong.
You will make a fine cowboy, and will wrangle with the best of them.
We are in the Columbia river crossing and just make camp to watch the stars and make a good dinner . Meat is all over our vagon and we will spare some for the other wagons that they are starving to death .
I hate to see fellow waggoneers starving. I will always choose to not eat and take a couple of ship from my secret cantine of moonshine so others in the team can fill theyr belly .
In the silence of the afternoon the Letterman has arrived and boy !!! I got the first letter of my life !!!
Its from Dom and my fellow kartpulse boyz !!!
I took the papers on my own , craft a cigarette and lay down to read ..
Tears clean my eyes and my soul .
I was still remembering the last words from dom just before departed from Independence months ago …
" come on sam .. try it hard core . You can make it. " .
Thats it . Thats my decision if god makes me a favor and let me see oregon .
I will come back not as a cowboy , even if the new advsntures as a cowboy are now on the news of the wagon press .
I will settle the other souls of my team to oregon and i will try my luck as a wagon leader this time . Start from the beginning. INDEPENDENCE.
If i can achieve this . Then yes … i will throw MY
self to the cowboy life ..
Thats the plan .
We dont have enough money to take the ferry and cross this last water world . So i am getting ready to chalk the waggon and float the waters .
Thats life . Thats kartpulse. And thats America .
And i love it !
We made it ! . I have enough money to pay for the freedom of our 3 ox . They will not ! carry any more wagons till their last day .
All 4 souls of our team are in great health and they start to make dreams about settle down for good .
But for me the plans are different . The dlc of the game has thw options for california gold rush adventures and also for a cowboy grand trip throw America. But before those ..
I will return to Independence with our troops as a handy man and there i will start again , this time on the max difficulty as a wagon leader .
If i made that . Then we will see . Cowboy life is my favorite though , but it can wait one more year .
Wait a sec.. you emancipated the Oxen only to make them carry the burden till their dying day? I hope they like pulling stuff. Or am I misreading this?
Lightroom is well worth messing about with. It seems that our digital cameras tend to have a cast to the images, emphasizing tonal range at the expense of clarity/pop. Lightroom is quite intuitive and fun to use. Sadly, Adobe makes everything subscription based.
She’s getting new rear brake pads (they seem to eat rear pads compared to the fronts which are still at 50%.) I can’t complain because I’ve had the car since 2014 and this is the first pad replacement.
