More than just giving my take too. I haven’t given James @KartingIsLife nearly enough credit for everything he’s done to help me in my ventures. I don’t think I could have pulled off the IAME Grands broadcast without a multi-hour zoom meeting where he and I bullshitted about karting for 90% of it and then figured out what parts I needed for the final 10%.
KP is an awesome community and while I’m far from the expert when it comes to all the technical threads, helping get newcomers into the sport and giving my 2 cents is both a way of me “giving back” and getting the chance to stand on my own soap box. Haha
Stand and Preach brother, your comments are always welcome. And yes, James is King (all bow in honor chanting we’re not worthy). I get the feeling he would want you to Pay It Forward…at least until the bill comes .
Surprisingly you didn’t comment on shadow accounts from your boys on the KC Happy Hour on KP. What’s the scoop? Not asking to name Names, but how many pro drivers would you say dip there toes in from time to time?
Ha-come they ain’t no trophies on that left kart? What they celebrate’n? Don’t none of them boys have hair? They ain’t just neighbors, they’s family! The family that Races together, stays together! And takes pitchers together too!
Sorry for the random flow of thoughts from behind the lens, I grew up in the Deep South. I recognize my brethren.
Hah I’m not sure. But I’d bet a good bit do. At the minimum they’re all fully aware, although being a ‘pro’ karter is a full-time lifestyle of booking numerous coaching and mechanic gigs alongside the racing, so most of the time the guys are on the road and working somewhere. Probably getting more than their fill of the sport to the point where the last thing they wanna do when they get a second to breathe is read more on it.
