I will continue the 90’s theme. 1990 IKF Grands at OVRP, we called it Cuddyback back then (located in Cuddybackville ny) I say that name now and wonder if it was real:rofl:
I am kart 85, Richie Hearn in the 70. Class was Super 100. 100cc rotary, Ibea slide carb, direct drive. We ran the Rotax DSB as did most others.
Got taken out from behind on lap 1 turn 1, did t finish. Back then winner was awarded by cumulative points over 3 heats. Only finishing 2 heats i ultimately finished 5. Worked my way from last up to P2 by the last heat. Hearn won.

I found some images of me karting when I was younger, and I am willing to share. I am blurring everybody’s faces along with mine for privacy reasons.
2019 (Age 9) was my first time (as far as i know) in a kart. They ran them around at what was my local oval track before i moved. They no longer have these due to licensing if i recall correctly.
This one was taken in late 2020 (Age 10 or 11), after the karts at the local oval track were taken away and the pandemic was hitting hard, I went here as much as I could, but we are busy people. I went here until 2022 when I moved away to the complete other side of Canada.
I am almost 16 now, and I wish I was more invested into karting and got out even more before moving, but what can you do?

This is a cool rental kart. I like how they said “no-rollovers” and did a semi cage but then said “wheel contact? No problem!” And slapped only a front nosecone on it.
It looks light and fun. I wonder what having the big rears feels like.
I really can’t get ai to do anything I intend. The prompt was “replace the two karts with bicyclists”…
Instead we get: “despite the tragic tire changing accident at supernats 27 which fused his right arm and leg together, Logan found great success racing formula A and was the 2024 national champion.”
This went better… (SuperKats 2024)

Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that the runoff (at least at t1) was just trees at the time?
The fastest karts ran on the outside while the slow ones were on the inside.
I am surprised that nobody expect the oval drivers on the weekends went into the trees.

Maybe one roaming around there somewhere… We have an orange and white cat that was gifted to us by the CDS (Cat Distribution System). The brain cell hasn’t been in the same county with him since he arrived at our house.
