Ok. I will try to see if I can get it working again. I may have misremembered pricing of sale. Maybe it goes on sale for 399.
In case you are shopping for a high end card…
Lol.
““We also remain confident our partnership with Motorsport Games will produce an engaging, realistic and enjoyable title feature for the NTT IndyCar Series. Ultimately, 2023 will produce the first IndyCar-centric video game in nearly a decade while maintaining a presence for the sport in iRacing and beyond.””
Run, Indycar, run. You don’t want to sully your ip by association.

Iracing has done a fine job of delivering Indycar content. What bullshit did MG promise them to make them ditch the irl Iracing partnership and go with MG? Any due diligence before inking the agreement?
Another misstep by INDYCAR management. The game was a cool thing many of us were craving for YEARS. And they pick the worst partner for it.
Right after they announce their docuseries which is going to probably be available on Hulu, which excludes all Canadian viewers.
They are getting so close but just never hitting the bullseye.
I really want to like Indy car more than f1. Cmon guys, stop being dumb.
F1 is the hot girl who’s a total jerk. Kinda basic, too. An “influencer”.
There’s a massive discussion about it on the iRacing forums. It seems like that’s what prompted their say nothing response.
It’s strange to me that they got here at all. The financial shenanigans of MG feels like it’s an intentional house of cards at the expense of shareholders. It doesn’t pass a basic sniff test. How could indycar be unaware of MG business practices that have been well reported on over the past couple years?
I read something about the deal being made a year ago when it looked like things couldn’t be better and it wasn’t so obvious
Hulu stuff often turns up on Disney+ in the great white north.
We might get lucky.
Are you able to watch the races live as well? I was told by Canadian friends they didn’t show the races live anywhere in Canada.
I believe its shown on a cable channel (sportsnet).
Great price, and looks decent at first glance. Curious how the reviews sort out.
After a month or so of not driving I forced myself to fire up the new AMP-C layout. It’s a short bullring that uses the closing and opening turns to create a short, 18s lap.
It’s a lot of fun and requires you to make a very tight radius 180 and chicane out from full chuff. Really interesting to try to let flow. Since the lap is short, it’s kind of pleasant in that it’s low stress.
Question to the group and feel free to kick this to a dedicated topic if needed.
What would be the recommended wheel and pedal hardware for just kart sim’ing? I would think that a strong direct drive steering wheel would be the top recommendation, for pedals… im not to sure what would be best here… thinking there is a point where you can by the “best” but for karting its complete overkill.
Guessing this will open up a big can of worms as im asking an opinion, but curious as I don’t want to over buy.
I’d say in todays world an entry level DD like the fanatec or Moza is ideal. Pedal wise you’d want loadcell units. Fanatec v2 or v3 or the clubsport new ones if they have loadcell.
Alternatively there are other pedals. You could spend more and get Heusinkveld sprints which are hugely popular.
I quite content with my loadcell v2 but have never tried fancier. I would really like to try the Simucube ones that cost 2 grand for each pedal.
If space allows, an 80/20 rig like the simlab gt is a huge help. Rigid.
The cammus unit above looks like a good deal. However, it is new and you’d need to research reviews. The fanatec DD seems to have a wait.
One thing to remember too is that you can always turn the power down, but there is a limit on how far up each base can go. So while something like the Moza R5 package is a killer deal, the R9 set at 5Nm is going to have a bit more clarity of details. It’s equivalent to stereo amplifiers. Yes big power makes things louder but also enable clearer sound at lower volumes. And that is why you always hear people with high power bases run them at 10-15 Nm.
Heusinkveld-style pedals can also be had for reasonable prices (<$300) if you’re willing to go the China route.
whats your situation? Are you considering dropping an upgrade?
