Well said. Handful of races I’ve caught it’s not like they had a 1-2-3 train. It’s been a cool mix of brands/teams up front.
They did for one of the X30 heats, but it was Norberg, Hunter, Jones, so all 3 solid drivers already.
That Moya kid has been fun to watch. Qualified pole from the 3rd group, and very hard racing through the first heats
So did something happen on kartchaser feed? I can’t find the 2nd KA Senior heats.
Yeah, broadcast went down at the start of the second heats. Missed the last couple laps of KA Junior, all of KA Senior, and most of Master Shifter
It got insanely windy in the evening and then it rained pretty hard, made it exciting to watch the Pro classes.
Yeah it was wild to see on youtube. Very entertaining.
Morning folks. Crazy end to the day yesterday, as I was helping our Pro drivers switch over to rain setup, and then back to dry again on the grid …made for some great racing.
Been very busy throughout the week, and wish I could be posting more updates. Chassis and engine are both running well, and we’ve had flashes of speed with a few top 10 practice results. Racing has been pretty wild, as I got crashed in T1 in the first heat, and had to do battle with the same guy in the second heat. Chassis wasn’t as good in the second heat, but I think we’ve made some good adjustments.
Need to get through Heat 3 clean today and then we’ll be in decent shape for Sunday. Top 10 was our goal coming into this week, and I think it’s achievable!
I couldn’t believe that T1 divebomb, forgetting to brake, or whatever that was. It’s bad when even my wife says that was terrible😅 Keep fighting man! We are rooting for you!
9:30/9:45 (PST) - KA Senior heat 3
10 (PST) - Master shifter heat 3
11:30 (PST) - KA LCQ
All the above can be seen on KartChaser livestream
P8 in warmup following behind Fore until we caught some traffic. Still need some pace but we’re making progress. Thanks @calebgilbert for the shoutouts!
@tjkoyen race looks done on lap 5. Will be interested to here the deets.
Absolute carnage in Master Shifter Heat 3 culminates with the race being red flagged at half way point. Better luck next time guys.
Finally had the kart working where we wanted, was going forward and as fast as some of the leaders. Then the bolts backed out of the motor mount and the motor basically came off and was just sitting on the kart and then the chain fell off. So so so frustrating. Finally had pace and figured out the kart/track.
Waiting to see if we are in the LCQ.
Survived Heat 3. Made a mistake mid-race and hit the inside barrier in the chicane so my shit got bent and had to deal with that for the rest of the session. Overall not bad, and I think we still have a few more tricks up our sleeve. Looking forward to the main event!
The best part of our weekend hands down is having the founder and owner of GP Karts making us “Italian toast” every day. He literally brings the toaster from the hotel, builds the most basic ass sandwich, stuffs the whole thing in the toaster, and then toasts on maximum setting …he pretty much only spoke Italian to me (via translation) until I had a “toast”, and now he’s chatty in English
Bummer!, but good luck if you get in the LCQ
@Muskabeatz good job just making it through. Will be keeping my eyes peeled the best I can for the rest of the races through the weekend while traveling. Whatever he’s putting on that Italian toast seems to be working.
TJ in on the last spot to start the LCQ, should be interesting but TJ’s done it before.
Absolute bummer that Lemke didn’t even make the LCQ but 2 DNF’s will do that to ya
Heat 3 KZ Masters was a bit mad
I only just finished watching Fri heats. Lammers outing himself in H1 was an unexpected shakeup. And what was exchange between Walstjin & Hildebrand about at the H2 finish?
Is it me or has SuperNats drawn significantly more international drivers this year? The top 15, especially in X30 and senior shifter seemed stacked with European drivers. If so, seems like a great trend.
