What interesting uses for used kart tires have you seen… Here’ some I’ve seen

I would like to see a kart track that uses stacked kart tires as wall barriers instead of old car race tires. More fitting.
Oh 100%. Car tires are still pretty vicious when you hit them in a kart. I’ve seen kart tires put in nylon fiber bags to make barriers too.
I appear to be using mine as mosquito breeders. They work really good for that! 
Endurance racing team name: Plunkett’s Mosquitoes or maybe just Team Malaria.
The Marauding Mosquitoes? Yeah, not a good concept - no offense Dom!

I cut the sidewall off of an old tire and put my gear stack in it. All that stuff gets thrown in a box for travelling, so it protects against anything random from banging the teeth up.
I don’t think tracks have enough tyres to do that, unless they buy dead tyres from other drivers. Not that I would be opposed to that idea, it would be better than throwing away the tyres.
It would definitely take a few seasons. Local track out my way perpetually has a 40ft container full of tires between their rentals and competition karts.

That’s a lot of tyres! What are they planning to do with them, throw them away all at once or reuse them for another purpose?
It’s basically an exchange and I think when it gets as it gets full the tires get put out as barriers. Even at 2 or 3 tall they can be a nice cushion in front of car tires.
But a U-bolt in the middle and fill with concrete and they make descent pop-up weights to keep them from blowing away.
They have a truck comes over to haul all tire away the end of season.
My kids use old tires as cones on our driver to weave in and out of in our driveway. They also use them as swings on our trees for their toys.
