What did you do to your Kart Today? (2025 Edition)

Was headed to CERAland this afternoon. Half expected to see you there!

Have fun out there! I’m joining some shifter comrades that were already headed out this way. Plus I’ve never driven the track, so will be fun to drive somewhere new.

Pro tip: don’t run into the grain silos. I’m a bit jealous, that place looks really cool. Have fun!

Scaled my sons’ karts.

Left got a new-to-us Tony cadet and is going back to Mini Rok from 206. Right is moving up from Kid Kart to Jr. 1 206.

It was a fun track and a great day. My neck is absolutely fried, and I only did about 50 laps :sob:

And why did you decide to make this jump?

If you can organize a handful of drivers to show up together, we’ll always make time for a Shifter Class at OVKA. We’ve had a few people asking about it in the off-season, and I always tell them our policy has always been “if you show up with a group, we’ll run you”

I plan to have the starting boxes repainted on the front straightaway on our cleanup day either way, just to have them.

Doing some repair work on the nose that got damaged in the finals at last TSRS race and putting her back together after a total strip down and cleaning from the TSRS downpour weekend.

Meh, put brand new tires on for TSRS and didn’t use em. Now breaking them down to put old nasty rocks on it for DFW Triple Crown (a local 3 track race series). Perhaps my least favorite part of karting…tires. :face_with_peeking_eye:

well its time for us now after doing 5 weekends practice sessions on a historic but old and tight racetrack called speedpark aspropyrgos , to move on to something with more speed and more competitive fellow karters and thats our next step .

we will try our first steps in Afidnes Kartodromo racetrack ,

thats a proper national championship racetrack and after 2 practice days maybe we can see where we are ranked at racing pace with other active national race drivers .

i have found the gear ration as a baseline for that step . and we starting to measure things so we can have the proper parts for carburator adjustment on racetrack .

our tires is only one practice session old … so … thats the best feeling of the world !
all from the beggining . new hopes and new dreams .

lets see …

Tweaked the port timing, ignition timing and squish, replaced the countershaft seal and o-ring, and adjusted the seat position. Checked all the fasteners. Getting ready for the double header at Orlando in the beginning of April.

Make sure you verify legality on that nose cone. Not sure how they tech that at TSRS or similar but some series might not approve repaired noses.

Repair job looks proper, just would hate to see you DQ’d or penalized for that. It would be a huge pain in the ass to have to buy a new nose though.

It’s a bit of luck too. My club doesn’t accept nose cones with holes but sometimes the inspectors don’t check or are busy with something else

They don’t require pushbacks. And their grid marshals never molest the underside of the bumper before entering the grid.
