What did you do to your kart today?

Top end rebuild on the TM. I noticed the ring ends touched, I need to be more careful warming it up!

TM/Vertex rings need to be gapped out to the box. Also, spin that head insert CCW one bolt hole to align the cutaways for the water ducts!

I did, and I gapped the new ring.

Got a new one. Thanks to Factory Fury/GP USA this is the first brand new chassis I’ve had in a while. Should be shaking it down at NCMP this week, and racing at MCC this weekend.

I drove a prototype “hard rail” chassis a couple weeks ago and it was quite fast. This is the standard version, so I’m curious to feel the difference.

Looks like a sweet ride! The engine side seat struts have me feeling a bit cross eyed

Ha! CRG always used to cross them over about a decade ago, but this just happened to be what worked best for the struts I had and to work around the KZ exhaust.

Will report back after shakedown :sunglasses:

Woah. Thats a change.

Still have my HMG/Factory chassis, and plan to keep that one. I actually plan to do a back-to-back to get an idea if one is faster than the other out of the box.

I was gonna ask. Thats cool that youre planning that.

Nice! GP seems to be making a push here again. They always went well in shifters with Bray. That era CRG had a great KZ/ICC kart.

No difference; all steel flexes the same. Let us know how it feels!

Bray is pretty talented. Hoping some of that energy rubs off on me lol

Looks like GP dropped those lateral stiffener rods that premiered on the GP14.

Yes, those have been phased out for quite some time, from what I’ve observed. The GP15 has also gone away from the old single-bend waist design and 32mm tubing that GP used for years. Now it seems to be a derivative/copy of the KT2, which is all 30mm.

I’m curious why they went away from that old design, as it seemed to work well. Something to ask Gian (owner) if I end up crossing paths with him at a race.

Assuming same material characteristics, a softer rig will flex more & go out sooner. Does it handle better?

Stickers applied.

Dang that looks real sharp with the black plastics

I saw your name on the timing app for the Rotax race this past weekend but looks like you weren’t there. Didn’t get the graphics on in time?

If only… No, I had dumb adult life things come up that killed my racing fun money. Turns out A/C units are hella expensive and required to live in Phoenix. Starting trying to save for Vegas. :crossed_fingers:

They really should come this way now. It looks better and is 100x easier to keep looking clean and new.

We are preparing the engines for the Italian Championship in 2 weeks.
We have got a few IAME screamer 4 and few TM r2.
It’s nice to see the differences between the 2 brands in terms of concept and philosophy… And prices
