Could anyone shed some light on the Tillotson 4 cycle engine/kart and their intentions for a class/series?
Is the intent to compete on track w the 206? Or to create another class and take some of the 206 market away?
I keep seeing more info about these karts/series online and locally saw 4-5 karts running at OGP.
Do people think L206 series is getting away from being spec racing ??? And Tilly T4s are a great thing to bring back strict spec racing. Seems like there is alot of engine building and tinkering with L206 and its getting away from spec racing ?? And the cost is getting out of control. And Tilly T4s are bringing it back to a affordable level of racing and racecraft ??? I know I might have opened a can of worms. But its just a thought ???
Would like to talk to a Tillotson T4 owner and racer ? Trying to learn about them got alot of question ?? Thanks Dave
They are going to run Tillotson T4 rental karts and T4 race karts at LOK in Ohio. And I would like to talk to people who have run either ?? Would like to get some insight on them both ? My 12 year old grandson will be running rental first and then move up to T4 race karts. And can you run a L206 motor on same chassis ?? And how is the T4 chassis compared to other makers of chassis’s. And who is the maker of the chassis’s for the T4 ? Thanks Dave
Would like some thoughts on the Tillotson T4 Class and is there any race tracks that have races for them in Ohio ???
Would like some opinion on people who are racing a Tillotson T4 race kart with a 225 c.c engine on it In the T4 series. Or racing one with a L206 Engine on it. We are getting them at Lorain Ohio Kartplex. And trying to understand them. Before I buy one for Grandson ??
Do you think the T4 Series is a good way to lower cost of karting ? And give people who dont have alot of money or have the mechanical expertise for karting to have a chance to win. Especially for kids or grownups coming from rentals . Without the high cost ?? Kind of like a IROC car series but lower cost on a karting level ?? Question coming from a lot of rental people I know…
If you’re having trouble getting answers, maybe contact LOK or Tillotson directly to ask them. The reality is the T4 is not very popular in the States, so you’re unlikely to get much input here, as not many people are racing them.
