Gaston LaGaffe (Gaston the Screw-up) goes karting:
Gaston is/was a comic book character dear to my heart from the 70s and 80s by a well known French illustrator called Franquin. He illustrated a number of characters including Spirou et Fantasio and other ones targeted at all ages. He also did some very dark humor adult oriented stuff as well.
A tribute
French comics were sold in hardcover book form
Spa
Le Garage de Franquin

Autonomous Citroen DS from Z comme Zorglub
His cars were often futuristic and not far off from what actually came to pass:
Some fun concept cars were made!
I dream of Etown

The Inspiration: FEAR
Let’s have a war!
Jack up the Dow Jones!
Let’s have a war!
It can start in New Jersey! (At NJMP)
Let’s have a war!
Blame it on the middle-class! (4-stroke classes)
Let’s have a war!
We’re like rats in a cage!
In the kart, yes. The others are images from Mad Max in 1979.
I actually laughed out loud at these. Thanks for that.
Yes, 1997. I hate being the old guy now, mentally I’m still 14… Two years younger than I was in this pic. The main track for karting in Ireland around that time was a road course called Mondello Park, under FIA rules, leathers were mandatory for tracks longer than 1.2Km (Going from memory)
Show your spouse the mad max one. Dead sexy lad you are. But that’s the cross us Irish dudes have to bear.
A poet in the Park
I commissioned a karting poem from this gentleman. He sets up a typewriter in Central Park at the Strawberry Fields entrance and does poetry on demand.
Since he’s not a karter, the inspiration I gave him was racing through the city with your friends, having fun, and talking trash afterwards.
I think he nailed it!
My next ADHD fixation… minesweeper… ive literally studied how to do minesweeper faster
The windows Os game?
the game with the grid that has numbers that say how many mines are touching it.
are you thinking of minecraft…?
Tetris would probably also tickle your adhd
My buddy has a couple of these. They look great on the wall.
