Lightest kz radiator + help losing weight

Can anybody recommend the lightest possible kz radiator?

I’m about 9kg over weight for class. I can lose another 5kg in body weight to get to 80kg but trying to get more off the kart.

Are there any off the shelf products to help?
Ty

Remove your sticker kit, titanium hardware, lightest bodywork, lighter driving gear, small fuel tank.

Hey mate Ty for reply
I need to run sticker kit for the team unfortunately
What hardware can you buy off shelf that’s titanium?
I have spent hours searching online for a suit that’s the lightest but accurate info seems impossible. Any suggestions here?

I’ve got a small tank now to cheers

Front bumper hoops, nerf bars, steering shafts, king pins, rear bumper bracketry, nearly every bolt as well.

Check your rules, some places don’t allow titanium.

Fastech sells titanium parts for OTK and CRG

They also sell titanium bolts, nuts, etc. Though be careful with their nylon nuts because their nylon gets loosier so tigh them every now and them if you buy it.
Also, check you local rules just in case they dont let titanium or carbon fiber parts

Weight reduction is a deep rabbit hole you can go down :joy:

Mag bearing and sprocket carriers. The savings are small. Mag hubs and wheels too of course, but some handling changes with those.

I wonder who has the lightest bodywork? Might be worth going back a couple of homologations to see. You may even end up with a mix/match of body components.

Alum axle sprockets are available but do not suffer abuse of any kind compared to steel.

Not sure what the smallest rad is right now, but I can say that you can make a smaller radiator work
More efficiently if you add some cowling to it.

Youre just over 9kg in your class, thats not much tho. I would suggest you to go on diet, do running at least 20 mins per day. Youre gonna loose some weight easily.

Bcs some races theyre just allowing 1 type of radiator. You gotta check your racing regulations.

You can drop just over 1 Kg with a carbon floor tray

450g with a carbon steering column

0.6 kg difference

Further reading. They are older topics but might have some nuggets that are worth looking into.
