My favorite! X1 outdoors. Following that turn is a double s, which you have to kerb hop hard to go fast
Easily the most difficult track I’ve ever driven. Only been there once, but I wish I could go back!
My second year in karting (2006), my heart has never skipped a beat over my love for karting 🫶🏻
This chassis was a homemade one, some guys from koenigsegg did all the work. Parts was from wildkart, 40mm thin axle and 1010mm wheelbase. Very special!
It was called Tomaso kart.
The year after I did start the season with 3 wins in a row🙌🏻 And P2 in the championship, missed out by 2 points due to mistake in the last race.
Correct! That was a bit tough to identify.
I was heartbroken when I heard that it was being turned into storage. I loved that track so much. Everything just felt so perfect at that track (except my ribs).
Wait whaaaaat. More info?
Yeah, there was 2 guys from koenigsegg. Tomas and mats, hence the name Tomaso.
To begin with it was just a fun project until they had the finished result in front of them. They had the jig and all of the necessary stuff at the factory, and the rest is history
But they only made 1010mm chassis for the smaller classes, and used Kosmos kart for the bigger ones in the team.
The chassi was surprisingly really good, many wins with it. It was sure special with support for torsion bars both at the front and rear. 40mm thin axle with 2 bearing cassettes. Rest of the parts like spindles and brakes was wildkart stuff. Driving it and knowing it was made in the koenigsegg factory was awesome My dad still has the chassis at home, I’ll take pics when I get the chance
Cool story and very interesting bespoke kart.
It’s a pity they didn’t seize the opportunity and go with “Tomato Kart” instead, but they aren’t yanks or Brits.
Not in my kart but I got some new gloves today to match the BestKart. -273 makes a colorway that matches perfectly.
A change from the violet. I do think that red is fastest and suspect this suit will podium. How do you like the freem?
It’s good. I’ve had a pair of freeM boots for 10 years and they are still going strong and I’ve had a few pairs of freeM gloves in the past I really liked too. Generally all their stuff is pretty nice in my opinion.
My Korsasport suit somehow got a little tighter over the winter…
