I ran out of the back of a truck my first 2 years and sometimes REALLY miss it, but ultimately packing and unpacking the truck and piling everything inside of it every week got old for me and really wore on the inside of my truck. The worst was the one time battery acid from my external Yamaha starter spilled all over the rear carpet of the truck.
I’m personally not comfortable towing a trailer, I just haven’t done it much, so I prefer running out of the truck for that. We’ve managed to condense most of our stuff so that it fits pretty well and doesn’t take a lot of time to load, but at first it was definitely a pain
Here is a 2019 Kosmic Kart, kart stand, table, gas can, tools and safety gear crammed into a 2017 Subaru Outback.
I have to nearly completely disassemble it (remove front and rear hubs and wheels, sidepods, nose one and bumper), but it works.
Back of an Acura MDX for me. It’s definitely tight but I usually fit a tool box, folding table, practice tires, rain tires, race tires, air tank, spare engine, ez up, folding chair, cooler with snacks, safety equipment, box of spare parts, extra seat, and fuel. And the gokart! I bought a used custom stand that goes into the hitch. Sidepods and wheels off and the kart slides right into the back off the stand.
I just throw my Kart with all the other necessary stuff, Tools etc. in my Truck bed.
It’s a 2000 something Birel
The Truck is an 2003 F150 Lightning.
Welcome to the forums. Awesome livery!!
Agreed. Loving the mt dew.
Thank you both!
I tried to give it a NASCAR-inspired look.
I‘ll post more pictures in a different thread if I find one.
Saturday morning , one kart practice with nick on a toyota hilux.
But i will preferred to travel on a good old toyota tacoma …
Take boat to kart. Thats special.
In my superduty. Think I’m goin to change the setup and turn them both sideways and mount them both on top of the bed sides to give me more room for gear underneath.
Do you have a connection with Mt. Dew? Interesting story…my wifes grandfather was a partner, ownership group for Mt. Dew. The Hartman family from East Tennessee owned it…it wasnt doing well. They bought it, he owned sugar business in Cuba and elsewhere. He helped with reformulation and they sold the company to the Pepsi corporation back in the 60’s. Unfortunaly he got killed in a helicopter crash , she never got to meet him. But he did put them in a very good financial position. Cool looking kart!
I have a trailer but it was buried in my storage unit today so I had to toss a kart in the back of my GX. Seats down, bodywork and wheels off and it fits pretty good.
I am on my 3rd Kart Hauling Mini-Van. I have no kids. If I’m going to have a Mini-Van, I’m going to have fun with it.
This is everything.
That´s an interesting but also sad story…
No, I do not have anything to do with Mt Dew, I just love it and they have great designs, so I thought, why don´t just throw it on my kart?
Thats a cool van but also something I will never understand.
You guys have the coolest cars ever over there, and somehow a lot of Americans seem to be obsessed with japanese cars?
I was over there, I would buy something like a OBS 7.3 Powerstroke or something
fantastic toyotas . thats great
