Heat has got me like.

And it’s not even warm yet. My head is pooling sweat on the ground

I’m a big fan of total head immersion. Cool off that brain pan. Be careful, use hydration supplements.

You look like you just fought a bad battle in the great war.

Yeah I’m staying hydrated. On bottle three so far. I’ll move to my sugar free protein Gatorade thing shortly.

No bueno. Nobody hurt but got caught in someone else’s accident.

Aieee! Can this be remedied?

Yikes! Looks like that was a big hit…

Yeah I have the spindle arm straightened out, not ideal to do that. Found someone with the correct kingpins so installing those now. He gave me the pills too.

Steering shaft is slightly bent but I’m going to leave that. Tie rod end is a lefty and I used my last one a few weeks ago… so will have to track one down.

Pace is definitely not there. I got lapped in on of the races so a lot of work to do there as well.

Im glad to hear that it’s not game overs. Dont worry about pace. This has transformed into a different kind of battle… Survival of the 1k Buck Chuck kart.

Will he make the main? I’m waiting with bated breath! I think he will. James is a resourceful fellow with many friends.

Had to take a rubber mallet to my steering shaft last race. Get’er done!

I’m not sure but this seems like there might be a stream;

Link seems like bullshit. To the best of my knowledge NBC sports will not be providing coverage.

I had no idea. That’s cool.

Missed practice today with bunch of changes and repairs I needed to make after yesterday. Luckily I got a bonus practice round because I entered king of street 206. That went the best so far. I’m not even looking at times because
it’s kinda obvious where I’m leaving time on the table.

For today resolved the brakes that kept sticking, went up three teeth on rear sprocket (I think I need even more, barely saw 5600 in a draft). Motor hesitating when I get back on power so I’ll have to see how I can resolve that issue. Repairs tie rod end, spindle, steering shaft, alignment took a while. Got toe and camber looking good on the lasers but on the ground the steering is turned to the left

Not sure which way to go on pressures today on the R60B. Practice I did 12 on right and 14 on left. Felt like I had too much flex at first… but when the came on is dammed better.

Times are getting better but not there yet. But I’m here for it and enjoying the process of relearning to drive. The steering inputs have to be so precise or the rear breaks away and scrubs off a ton of speed and if you hit a bump that extra sucks. Not sure how much of that is driving and how much is setup. I do think I have a bit too much caster still.

Also, RIP used DeepSeat and thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

Did you end up getting any footage of the race?

Not really. Bits and pieces but nothing worth watching…

Although someone caught an incident I was involved with on Saturday…

Is that what got you the damage posted above?

Yessir. The damage was from that incident. Kart still isn’t quite right, but then again it wasn’t right to begin with

So, closing thotts? Chaos contained? Race weekend a success (whatever that means to you)?

Many thoughts. I just need to gather them

It’s like herding cats when I try and gather my thoughts. Hope you are more successful than I usually am! :cat2:
