Get the titanium or steel version turnbuckle from Fastech. Order two. You’ll want a spare for a race weekend or track day so it doesn’t ruin it.

First race of the year done and dusted!
Strong pace the whole Friday practice, felt promising for race day.
1-2 practice was good, top 4 both of them within 0.1 to the fastest guy.
Qualifying was in a different format what I’m used to. 1 out lap and 2 timed laps was the only thing we got 
Qualified 3rd.
Later in the first heat engine bogged a lot at the start, was last within 5 corners 
Recovered to 5th at the end.
Second heat switched engine, Vortex VL95/BaronI BF24. Got a great start, leading within the first corner. Held the lead for 4 laps until the engine started to overheat and running lean dropping to 7th.
Switched to my Ibea L2 for the pre final, noticed massive difference straight from the get go! Started P7, got stuck behind a guy that made the kart 5m wide 
P7 for the final. Start was messy as hell.. dropping to 10th and later recovered to 5th!
All in all satisfied with the results, no broken stuff. Minor scratches at the front only

Headed up north with a couple of our rentals to try out Black River Motorsports Park. It’s a paved oval and the grip was ridiculous considering rock hard rental tires. M
As always, the camera does the banking etc absolutely no justice whatsoever.
We’ll likely come back and run there if we can get the safety stuff and some bumps worked out. There’s a couple of big ones bumps on the track that we need to address, but if we can get enough interest we’ll make the changes and open to the public. There’s also a dirt oval right behind it, we’d like to run there but we’ll have to see how it goes with that reopening after restoration.

Finished the weekens Iame series and did a full brake rebuild, axle swap, engine rebuild and slapped on some new tires for testing before the next race in 2 weekends
