What did you do to your kart today?

Last day of the club season! Of Course it’s raining! Going to have some fun and hopefully figure this rain out!

Hehe I had a race last night where it had been raining all day but somehow NJMP avoided the rain until we got to race warmup. In the warmup it started to mist and then 17mins in, like a light switch, the grip went from 100 to zero between turn 4 and 5.

I honestly thought I lost a wheel or a control arm or something as I went plowing straight off into the grass as I exited corner. Usually you get some sort of advance warning that things are getting dicey.

Simultaneously, everyone else all went flying off, too, which was pretty funny. Never seen grip disappear that suddenly.

(On the plus side we made some new friends who come from asphalt and dirt oval car world in western PA, and had a lovely dinner with me and Andre).

How much rubber did you have to pick off your suit and helmet?

Got the stickers today for the Tecno, turned out good. A lot more retro than my pcr even tho the PCR is older (1992) and this one is from 1995

Also safety wired nuts to the manifold, satisfying

I think nose needs a logo!

Yes! I’ll see if I can get hold of more stickers :fire:

Modded the graphics a little (blue stripes) and did a final check on bolts and fluids for tomorrow’s practice.

How many laps/kilometers did it take to wear them to this level? And what engine package?

9min on a OKJ engine, track was drying but not really that dry. At least every body had destroyed their tires.

Drove 4 sessions at Orlando. Freshly healed fingers held up fine. Saturday is raceday!!

Ive never heard about a kart made by those guys. Was it an actual company, or like a prototype kart?

Tecno still makes karts. They’ve had some very interesting frame designs over the years. Definitely out of the box thinkers.

starting my Grands prep tonight … change axle, replace the floating disc hardware in my brake assembly, and add some eccentric pills to the bottom side of the kingpin area. need to mount my practice tires also, rains are already mounted and ready to go.

Koenigsegg is a huge hypercar manufacturer in Sweden

This chassis was made in the early days, 2 guys from koenigsegg made 10 chassis in their factory.

It was really good
