Reminds me of a tonykart extreme with the torsion bar at the waist and 120mm engine mount spacing.
Tyler responds:
"It is a Tony Kart I think 2019 if I’m not mistaken but maybe a little older. I’m trying to decide what Engine I want to throw on there. Probably will start with 206 to test it out "
Not that it matters, but definitely not a 2019 Tony Kart. A fair bit older as James noted.
Either way, very cool project!
He might have a hard time finding an engine mount for the 120mm rail spacing in the right. Unless he’s making his own mount? Otherwise he’ll likely have to import one from the UK.
Sounds like a side project for him then!
Prepped my 2 beast for winter sleep, all washed and lubricated.
And to prevent corrosion I sprayed a light coat of WD40 over the whole kart excluding steering wheels
If owned a kart I’d probably get bored during the winter and go nuts with car detailing products.
Yeah
I have 5 engines to go trough and house renovations
We are selling our old and first chassis today that same one that put all off us in to the game .
An old intrepid silverstone .
It goes to a father and son team so i am kind of sorrow and happy together .
Farewell my soldier . I will remember you .
Thanks for the joy .
Built up a Tony roller I got and decided on a ML T11 vs the LG I had in my other chassis. While I really liked it up top, made me feel more connected to the chassis, I brought back the hip bone bruises I had years ago when I raced. Decided to get a little creative with the heat and tires to open up the problem area a bit, it didn’t need much.
Obviously I won’t know for sure until I get on track, for sure feels better just sitting in it.
Also , was able to get the kart vertical how I wanted on my own!!
How do you do custom screens like that for the alfano 6? I havent been able to figure it out.
Starting my offseason refresh on my son’s kart, hub bearings were a bit gritty, so new italian made SKF bearings ordered, and turned a couple of bearing drivers to make installing new ones with an arbor press super quick.
Right through the alfano app is what I used just connect to your unit via Bluetooth on your phone and upload the picture
Nice work!
I just heat the hubs with a heat gun and bearings just falls right out and drops in
Easier with alu hubs tho
Thanks! I’ll look into that.
That looks like the 1999 Tonykart Extreme cad model that floating around the interwebs (I have a copy of it too).
