Serviced my front end, bought kart used and regreased everything. Also adjusted steering wheel position and adjusted the Ackerman. Shiny shiny
Being a Florida boy, id love to try karting in the snow, at least once
I can assure you it’s cold and there’s not much grip.
I took our karts and kart related stuff out of the trailer in preparation for my daughters move to Kent State University for grad school…
Keep an eye out for the Snowball 250 in February at Fremont Raceway Park in Ohio then!
Went to align it, found camber was way off side to side. Was relieved to find only a bent King-Pin and not a bent chassis. =)
Found the exhaust pipe on the lo206 engine is loose.
So, rewrapped a portion of the exhaust, cut the safety wires on the exhaust bolts on the head. Will put everything back together tomorrow. I think I’m going to have to bend one of the support brackets to ensure that neither of them apply any force on the exhaust pipe when I tighten the hose clamps that connect the supports to the exhaust pipe. What s pain…
Upgrade the semi automatic stand to automatic with
Stronger arm handmade by us and electric motor from the China . Works like a charm now . But the stand we get out of the box was a bad one for sure .
New parts arrived from koene this morning .
I love those guys coz they know their job and they always help as tech support wise matters . Yes its more expensive to take from them than mondo but …
If its something i need with specific requirements i am willing to go the extra mile .
We are gonna upgrade to the new type of clutch and a fresh piston for my old timer vortex rok .
Lets make it fly next practice !
Yesterday evening I popped out to NCMP to put a friend in my shifter kart for a few sessions so he can get some training in before a big race this month
I recognize the helmet! Maybe the most flattering picture i have ever seen of him…
Come for the yoga poses, stay for the braaaaap
Excellent. I’m finishing his 500 helmet right now. That Block one was one of my favorites.
Kart Yoga is best yoga.
I added PKT billet pedals to my son’s Kosmic, sweet pedals, but the stop they include really doesnt work with the OTK chassis, so it sort of sits on an angle against the top of the frame tube. Being on an angle, the constant hitting against the angled bolt ended up making the gas pedal stop rotate, and his gas pedal flipped right back towards him.
So i machined a piece to go on the pedal that will make the adjuster screw hit the top of the frame perpendicular to it and it wont rotate now. Should be a much firmer stop.
How many beers did it take to get race ready? Sweet looking kart btw.
It was only a one beer job, unfortunately.
A guy of your experience should have been able to milk 2 beers out of a 1 beer job!
