Nick’s kart ready for testing on cooperhead roads after piston exchange. Waiting for them to pack our stuff
Have a race tomorrow. So, changed the oil, fine adjusted the rear axle sprocket to better line up with the clutch sprocket, one of the frame protectors had moved - so, moved it back, changed from wet to dry setup, changed helmet visor to one that isn’t for wet weather, and checked front setup and it was same as previous race.
Pulled the kids old Arrow down off the wall and slapped a 206 on it. Going to hit the track for CKNA at Road America in a few weeks.
Randy got himself a rental OTK set up for it too. He hasn’t been on track in 2 years and I’ve been on track once in same time frame. Practice day needed to shake off some rust.
So looking forward to Father and Son time at the track. Took it for granted. Been soooo long
Here, take this:
Enjoy that time together.
I definitely enjoy racing with my son but there are times…
Literally found this in my toolbox yesterday
im always love of Chris workshop man …
Just picked up my Briggs shroud from the powder coater. We now have orange for practice, and pink and purple engines for race days.
Hard to tell from the pic, but if you have carb and breather goign to the same catch can, drill a ton of holes in the top to open it up and let it breathe. Otherwise, the crankcase will pressurize your carb bowl and cause all kinds of annoying engine performance issues.
Already far too hot in the garage with a small A/C going. Call it quits by 10am
Got it unboxed, hardware assorted, and got some small thing done like steering and axle aligned.
Im just passing by the garage too here . Its summer heat days .
I got new parts for my ignition starter and i don’t go close … just going for swiming or soccer this days . But when the real packet with the engine parts arrive from italy … then i will wrench, no matter temps …
Summer is hard ,
I first thought that was a lando kart. Did compkart change the frame colors? No more yellow?
No you can get this blue if you order ahead of time.
