Custom Racing suits for karting: anyone here repping/distributor?

I showed it your concept and asked for a realistic suit rendering inspired by it.

Wow thatā€™s so cool! What ai program did that? Thank you.

I have the $20/month subscription to ChatGPT. I used the Dall-e image editor/generator app contained within. I uploaded your image and typed this exact prompt:

ā€œUse this as a reference, do your best job to replicate it in a realistic rendering. Try and get every detail of the color scheme and layout to match as closely as possibleā€

I just did it with copilot which is free for me (not sure if itā€™s included with my Microsoft subscription) but uses the same engine.

Didnā€™t match the design but came up with something cool looking.

that is cool

I wonder why ai wonā€™t make a logo. The words are always like DunLip, Finvol, etc

Struggle with this but basically what Iā€™m trying to do:

The inner bit in the same yellow as the suit.
The black ink parts become same color purple as the suit.

The outline of the design gets a yellow stroke to set it off the background.

The problem I have had is trying to do that yellow stroke on only the outer edge of the design. (As opposed to adding a yellow stroke to all elements of the design). managed to make it work as shown above, but the file doesnā€™t look like that when I import it.

We are getting dangerously close to a finished product:

I also ordered these:

They look fabulous and are stupidly expensive so I assume that they are good. Will report back.

Also, KDW is making a team helmet graphic.

So tempting. Soft looking.

My two pairs of sparcos havenā€™t help up well IMO so Iā€™m looking for something new this year. I have the same style lace up BOA system on my wakeboard boots and love it.

Marina is one of the finest in the market.
I see they do not have the latest homologation 8877-2022 so canā€™t partecipate at any FIA eventsā€¦
while the boots are amazing and with the latest homologation.

Since I race rental arrive and drive, their non-conforming suit will work for me. They make the same suit without CIK-FIA badging for half the price, approx.

KS-1R, nice!!! Looking between those and KS-1. Donā€™t know that I can justify the KS-ART, even if we get a discount.

Those Arts are just two sets of tires! Pocket changeā€¦

Indeed but the color combo is driving the decision making.

Hold upā€¦

OMP KS-ART - Professional Kart Shoes with Totally Printable Design

Ok thatā€™s compelling. Next time maybe?

Yup, totally customizable. The KS-ART line of gloves, shoes, and suits are the fully customizable offering from OMP.

Looking forward to the fresh suit for my son. His AlpineStars is see through in more than a few places now.

Not true. The Marina boots are homologated to FIA 8856-2018 (the flame retardant car racing standard), not the new karting standard.
For suits the old standard is still valid until 2029.
But yes, their suits are great

" For Karting Overalls, until the end of 2029, karting competitors will have the option to choose between the CIK-FIA overalls, very well-know across the karting world and the new Karting Overalls approved to FIA Standard 8877-2022, which will be compulsory starting 2030."

Not that it really matters in the US, theyā€™ll do what they want.

Even if it kills us. We do be like that. Lawn darts anyone?
