I use this, or wd40 if I run out. This works better though.
Gibbs is great! I use it in all my woodworking equipment. Never thought to use it on the kart. Thanks Rob!
According to the label, it does everything! “It’s a floor wax and a dessert topping!” IYKYK.
Before I found the matte clear lacquer that is on this, I used to wipe it down with Gibbs every week or so to keep the Florida corrosion at a minimum. I probably tried 10 different sprays, from various silicone to WD-40 to wax, nothing worked as good as the Gibbs.
Yeah, it’s seriously good. It keeps all my milled cast iron surfaces (woodworking machines) looking new in our terrible Texas humidity!
Was cleaning some stuff out at my parents’ house and found my old go-kart toys. Did any of you guys have any of these? Can’t remember where they came from but they are impressively detailed for some cheap Chinese no-name toys. Even have proper Birel and Tony Kart logos on them, and a mix of KZ and Honda engines that are pretty accurate with little radiators and air cleaners and pipes.
Now my 4 year old is doing durability testing with them.
Never seen those, very cool! 42 nosecone looks like a recent gen.
That things badass, you load the karts up onto it?
Happened to be looking through marketplace for other karting goods and came across some of those karts tonight. Funny seeing them after the post from @tjkoyen
