Pressure point from rib vest - what are my options?

Rib Vest/ Protector?

Hello, this is my first season gokart “racing” in a 206lo Senior class. I had a bunch of practice sessions and 1 race weekend. The track we race at can be a little rough at times and now my lower ribs are sore. I got a “soft” rib vest from a co- worker and I am not sure if that was the issue for the rib pain. The ribs got sore over time, it was not due to 1 corner. I think the worst was when I was driving with pretty old tires and they started bouncing a little in corners. I thought it was …

Rib Vest Recommendations for Karting

Thought there was a topic on this but can not find. What do you recommend for a vest? Been looking for my 14 year old and wondering what the good, bad and ugly is between all of them. Had used the Armadillo when younger and sold it. Now he’s looking for some protection for the ribs… Thanks everyone.

Why do you wear a rib protector?

Ive always worn one and still have had rib injuries , they don’t gaurentee rib injuries not to happen but they help , and some people are lucky and don’t wear thenm and never have a rib injury , pretty sure its mandatory in alot of clubs , it is mandatory around me atleast
